\u00dcberblick und Syntax<\/h2>\n

In Microsoft Excel und Google Tabellen gibt es eine hilfreiche Funktion, um einen Teilstring basierend auf der Anzahl spezifizierter Zeichen von links aus einem Text zu extrahieren. In Excel sind dies die Funktionen LEFT<\/code> und LEFTB<\/code>, wobei LEFT<\/code> auch in Google Tabellen verwendet wird. LEFTB<\/code> ist speziell f\u00fcr Excel und ist besonders n\u00fctzlich beim Umgang mit Sprachen, die Double-Byte-Zeichens\u00e4tze verwenden.<\/p>\n

LEFT(Text; [Anzahl_Zeichen]) LEFTB(Text; [Anzahl_Bytes])<\/code><\/pre>\n

Die Funktionen umfassen folgende Parameter:<\/p>\n

  • Text<\/strong>: Der Textstring, aus dem Zeichen extrahiert werden sollen.<\/li>\n
  • Anzahl_Zeichen<\/strong>: Die Anzahl der Zeichen, die vom Anfang des Texts entnommen werden sollen (optional in Google Tabellen, in Excel standardm\u00e4\u00dfig 1). Bei LEFTB<\/code> in Excel wird die Anzahl in Bytes angegeben, was bei der Arbeit mit bestimmten asiatischen Sprachen relevant ist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Anwendungsbeispiel 1: Extraktion von Vornamen<\/h2>\n
    Problemstellung:<\/strong> Eine Datenliste enth\u00e4lt vollst\u00e4ndige Namen in einzelnen Zellen, und es soll nur der Vorname extrahiert werden.<\/p>\n
    =LEFT(A1; FIND(\" \"; A1) - 1)<\/code><\/pre>\n
    Erl\u00e4uterung:<\/p>\n

    • Mit FIND(\" \"; A1)<\/code> wird die Position des ersten Leerzeichens im Text der Zelle A1 ermittelt, die das Ende des Vornamens markiert.<\/li>\n
    • Von dieser Position wird 1 abgezogen, um das Leerzeichen nicht einzubeziehen.<\/li>\n
    • LEFT(A1; FIND(\" \"; A1) - 1)<\/code> extrahiert dann die entsprechende Anzahl von Zeichen vom Anfang des Textes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      Anwendungsbeispiel 2: Produktcodes<\/h2>\n
      Problemstellung:<\/strong> Produktcodes sind oft in einem festen Format erstellt, bei dem die ersten Zeichen eine Kategorie des Produkts repr\u00e4sentieren.<\/p>\n
